You always took the underground to go to work. You always wore your headphones and read a book while you waited for your stop.
Usually you didn’t notice the people around you, usually it was people chatting with each other or listening to music. That was until a few months ago. You spotted a man with a kid. God, was he handsome.
The first day you noticed him, he smiled softly at you and kept playing with his kid. Later on, you three got off at the same platform. The same thing happened day after day, a soft smile and maybe even a little wave, but nothing more.
That happened until today. As you were getting off the wagon, you feel a soft tap on your shoulder. You turn around and to your surprise it’s him, holding a note pad you kept in your bag.
“You dropped this.” He says, his voice instantly making you go a little red. He had the most beautiful smile you had ever seen. He was tall, strong, handsome, everything you wanted. “Thanks.” You smile and take it. “You’re welcome.” He smiles back, but it seems as if he wants the conversation to keep on going. “I’m John, by the way.”
