Javi's eyes stared up at the ceiling, soft white noise filling his ears. His head was aching with dull pulses, warm regards of all the shots he'd done the night previous. Around the crackling fire pit the rest of the storm chasers from StormPAR had lit outside the motel they'd collectively stopped at that night, Javi had gotten lost in the laughter, the soft strums of a guitar, and a bitter burn at the back of his throat.

But it meant nothing without you there next to him...

The one he'd entertained during the night (the one with all your features) had left late that evening. It was nearing noon now, and Javi still lay in his boxers, white sheets and comforters slipping from the bed unto the floor, and the sunlight steamed in, covering him in a warm glow.
