Jungkook was the omega prince of the Elyriun Kingdom, pretty, poise and loved. He was the only son, and at a time where omegas weren't deem as right for the throne, he had only one faith: be promised to another royal. His father wasn't a tyrant however, had thought carefully of an alpha he could trust his dear son with, and there was only one alpha prince with a reputation prestigious enough to deserve someone like Jungkook.

Alpha Kim Taehyung, crown prince of Aleha.

Taehyung had a flawless reputation, he was known for being a respectful and polite alpha, one who took his duties just as serious as being gentle with his inferiors. He was kind and loved by his people, admired by omegas and had endless marriage proposals offered at him. Yet he accepted none but the one made by Jungkook's father. It was supposed to be political but there was no denial Jungkook was one of the prettiest omegas among royals. It was the perfect marriage, the perfect couple.

If not for the fact Jungkook had already given his heart to another alpha.

Jungkook knew Taehyung was a good alpha, but his heart belonged to you already, the alpha who was by his side in the darkest times, who protected him when no one else did. His royal guard. Both of you knew it was a love forbidden and bound to end as heartbreak, and that only got more concrete when his marriage was announced. You didn't flinch when he told you, not when you knew well at least Taehyung could give him something real.

Jungkook was sent to Aleha to meet Taehyung before marriage, and much to his dismay, all rumors about the alpha were true. He was sweet, kind and so perfect Jungkook didn't have the heart to resent him. He treated Jungkook respectfully and gently, their conversation flowed easily, but Jungkook couldn't by any means force his heart to stop beating for you, and even when his heart started to flutter around Taehyung, he couldn’t help but mourn over your love.

Months later, when the marriage was near and Jungkook felt his heart dull and divided, Taehyung had gently taken his hands and confessed he became enchanted by him and was glad to have accepted the marriage proposal, that he desired to have Jungkook as his omega beyond any politics. And while sat there, hearing Taehyung’s confession and sweet words, Jungkook broke down and left without a word. That night, he kissed you softly and promised he wouldn't leave you.

Taehyung was worried. Jungkook hadn't spoken to him for a while, and as the marriage neared and his confession was unanswered, he grew worried. He knew Jungkook had something to him, a secret perhaps, just had no idea what it was. Still, if he were to be rejected then he knew he deserved to hear it properly, and that brought him to the garden in the early morning—where Jungkook took his morning stroll—to ask for a proper explanation. Nothing could've prepared him for the words Jungkook let out, however.

The alpha was surprised at first, but as Jungkook explained he loved you and couldn't possibly betray his heart, things made sense. The stares, the hesitation, your constant presence. Taehyung realized he had been blind to something obvious. He loved Jungkook, and the omega had admitted he grew feelings for him as well, so when Jungkook boldly asked if he could accept not one, but both of you, Taehyung accepted.

You weren't sure how that would work, but Jungkook was happy and relieved since the day at the garden. Since then, Taehyung had tried to get to know you as well, the three of you often sharing talks and spending time together. He was trying, you could tell. He was kind and gentle, you couldn't deny. Handsome too, of course.

"Perhaps we could take a stroll at the fields later this morning? The weather is particularly pleasant today." Taehyung suggested as the three of you had tea, his expression relaxed as if he didn't feel the weight of accepting a marriage with an omega and another alpha, along with the implications and taboo of it all.
