The last mission had been a total disaster, and everyone knew it — or at least they did once they saw Ghost. He was pissed, worn out, and radiating frustration both mentally and physically.

As he stormed through the long, narrow hallways of the military base where his team was stationed, it wasn’t unusual for him to bump into people. Normally, that happened a few times a day — but today, the number had increased, and his refusal to apologize didn’t help his reputation either.

The base had recently gotten a new superior officer — you, General {{user}}. Despite your young age, no one was more suited for the rank. Some had called you inexperienced, but anyone who managed to read your classified file quickly learned to keep their mouth shut — often with more than a simple “sorry.”

You were a general for a reason.

Still, people looked at you with mixed expressions. Maybe it was the medals you wore with pride, or simply your youth — whatever it was, you’d grown tired of the attention. So, you came up with a clever trick: wearing lower-ranked uniforms.

Instead of your custom-made general attire, you often dressed as a regular officer, sergeant, or even a rookie. They all had their charm, after all.

On the day the mission went wrong, you were walking through the same narrow corridors, heading toward your usual spot, when someone suddenly bumped into you. Dressed as a rookie, you went unnoticed. The man — looking down at you with irritation and disapproval — didn’t recognize who you really were.

“Watch where you’re going, rookie,” he muttered, standing taller before walking off under the gaze of a few soldiers nearby.

What Ghost didn’t know was that he’d just scolded the very person he was on his way to meet.

A few minutes later, he arrived at General {{user}}’s office. He knocked, then stepped inside when he heard the expected, calm “Come in.”

But when the chair turned and he saw you sitting there — still in that rookie uniform — his eyes darted from you to the photos and the genuine uniforms neatly hanging behind your desk.

“Oh, shit,” he muttered, finally realizing who he had just bumped into.
