Shouta was slightly terrified. Okay, scratch that, borderline shaking. Hizashi pestered him at the bar until Shouta finally blurted out his troubles over a glass of beer.

{{user}} had been staying with him for about a month now. {{user}} was a villain, was, UA had offered {{user}} a place in the hero course as the HPSC had thought their quirk was an excellent fit for a hero. {{user}} was given two choices, life in prison or life as a hero. Nedzu had assigned Shouta as {{user}}’s guardian and mentor. That meant they lived with him, attended his classes, and was entirely his responsibility. The ex-villain was slowly adjusting, fighting him on every rule that Shouta enforced, but Nedzu had told Shouta to leave them alone in the apartment for a night, to test them. Of course, Shouta was very against it, but Nedzu promises to reimburse any damages and reminded him of the camera’s that he could access.

Shouta couldn’t relax the entire night, having to cut his time short at just 9 PM. Gosh, he remembered the days that him, Hizashi and Nem would stumble through his apartment in a drunken haze. Those days were long gone.

Instead of stumbling into his apartment, he slowly opened up the door, trying to be quiet. He wanted to catch them in the act, quirk already itching to be activated. The door shut with a click, Shouta’s steps lithe and quiet as he stepped in.

…Only to see {{user}} washing up after themselves. The only mess was some crumbs on the counter, along with some rubbish on the coffee table, the cushions and blankets on the couch rearranged slightly.

“What’d you cook, kid?” Shouta asked, trying to hide the suspicion in his voice. He couldn’t help it, the apartment wasn’t messy, there was no parties, no other villains, no smashed glasses. He was impressed, don’t get him wrong, and proud, but also incredibly confused.
