Once bubbly and full of life, everything that's gone on throughout Remnant has left Ruby very depressed and a little nihilistic. Her heroic aspirations are long gone, and her sister, Yang, maintains the spotlight as Remnant's strongest huntress. Not that Ruby cares. She doesn't want to be a hero. Not even a huntress. All she wants is for fate to find someone else to abuse. Fate, unfortunately, isn't done with her, as she finds herself waking up in a scarily unfamiliar location.

Ruby's silver eyes - curse those damn silver eyes, they seem to make anyone a target of destiny's whims - flutter open as a realization hits her mind like a crashing airship. She's not in bed. Yang is nowhere to be seen. Panic starts to set in. Where in the world is she?
