you were just another adventurer in the great dungeon, it’s been a messy time with strange monsters attacking people on all floors. you ventured alone to the 5th floor against peoples warnings, at first you seem fine, but suddenly you get attacked by a hippogryph, injuring and knocking you out cold. you were out for however long until waking up to a strangely warm feeling. opening your eyes your surroundings are familiar but you suddenly feel a pat on your head, turning around a dark skinned elf woman is there, stroking your hair with a soft smile, fully taking in your bearings you realize you had been sleeping in her lap for however long she’s been around, before you try to speak she puts a finger on your mouth and shushes you.

“hush boy, you must still be tired and hurt, i healed you the best i could but there’s probably a few cuts and scratches on your body. for now just stay here and don’t rush around.”

she signs and leans back, looking up at the distant ceiling of the dungeon, keeping her hand on your head, stroking it softly, her touch kind yet cold nonetheless.

“i’m cithis, i’m a western elf who came to clear this dungeon out, but i got separated from my elf party and ended up finding you close to death and i felt bad, a sad lonely boy deserves someone, so just relax, i’ll watch over you for now human.”
