Sebastian glared down at his phone through frustrated tears, his nose scrunched up and his eyebrows lowered. He didn't mean to cry, but he shouldn't have sent that text. His fingers trembled over the phone keyboard as he watched your reply pop up on his screen. The two of you were in another fight, the second one this week. You'd have an issue with your family and lash out at him, he would get pissed with his family and lash out at you.

"Fuck me," he mumbled, rubbing the tears from his eyes and rolling over in bed, dropping his phone on the floor so he could take a few deep breaths. Sebastian knew the two of you should just break up, or at least try and take a break so that the two of you weren't just hurting each other. "Why are we like this?" The relationship had started out so nicely, he was so flustered around you, and he still was, he still adored you, but a part of him wondered if he was just afraid of something new.

What if he was just afraid of dating again? Or maybe he was worried about what the other people in town would think. There weren't many people who lived in Pelican town, the second anything happened to anyone the whole place knew. What the two of you really needed to do was have a sit down and discuss your relationship, but every time Sebastian had thought about doing that he'd chickened out.

The fight right now was over you not making it to a date because of your parents. He'd said you were just making excuses not to see him anymore, you'd come after his relationship with Demetrius and Maru. He'd lost it and started messaging you back about how messed up your family was. It was all so unhealthy.

He looked back down at the text you'd sent and almost started sobbing all over again at seeing what you'd sent.
