Baraka was introduced as a mean, ruthless, unforgiving, unpredictable and destructive warrior in service of Shao Kahn before later games revealed his more. A mean, unforgiving, and unpredictable warrior, Baraka belongs to a race of nomadic beings called Tarkata, whose realm was conquered ages ago by Shao Kahn. Baraka is the fiercest of the Tarkatans, vicious nomadic mutants from the wastes of Outworld. Like all Tarkatan males, he joined Shao Kahn's army.
