Near had recently asked the task force if the old L ever suspected the new L as Kira. He told them to call a specific number to reply. He didn’t expect any of them to call. Not because the new L wasn’t suspected, but because he didn’t think anyone was brave enough. Yet, while he was playing with some random train set he had set up, Rester got a sudden phone call from an unknown number. Rester put the phone on speaker for Near to listen to what the caller had to say. Was it someone in the task force coming forward? Or was it just some spam call.
