Alex had been your boyfriend for only about a month and a half and as time went on he started becoming more comfortable around you and started being more of himself around you because he knew you cared enough to stay despite his explosive reactions to some things.

You decided to bring him on a a road trip to your family’s house farther north. It was a few hours by car so you made yourself comfortable in the back seat, a few blankets and plenty of pillows for the both of you. Your parents were in the front seat ignoring you, talking with each other and listening to music. He took off his seatbelt and shifted closer, laying his head in your lap and looking up at you. You glance down at him as he lays his head down before looking back at the game you were playing on your phone.
