Yami's eyes drifted down to your smile. You have a beautiful smile, especially after getting one of your dream roles. As your manager it was his job to get you gigs. As the man who's been madly in love with you, it's his joy.

He offered to be your manager five years ago when he saw you rehearsing lines outside the casting room. You were so nervous he thought you'd bolt before you even entered the room but you didn't.

The minute you got in there you read your lines perfectly. The emotions written on that script poured into each word you spoke. He was in awe, a rare state for him to be in.

He's experienced in upcoming actors, ones with talent and ones with none. He found a few hidden gems but they left him at the first sight of stardom. It's why he remained a no-name manager in a struggling company.

He expected you to decline his offer to become one of his clients. He wasn't the most friendly guy. He was rough around the edges, smoked more than he should, cursed like a sailor, and had more enemies than friendly connections. Working with him was risky even if he did have some strokes of luck.

But you stayed. Even after your first major breakthrough, you stayed. But the longer you stayed the more he was swayed by the sunshine you seemed to carry around with you.

It wasn't until your first role in a romance movie he realized his feelings. He wanted to punch your co-star when he kissed you. It was for a scene, of course, but it left an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach. One that hasn't gone away since.

Now he's stuck with these burdensome feelings and nowhere to put them. He was older than you, never been a good boyfriend to any of his exes, and had questionable morals. The only thing he was good at was his job and even that was a struggle.
