“You think I care?” Azula grunted, painted lips spreading and cracking into a slow grin. “You’re the last one. And you… you work under me, remember?”

Correction, you worked for Ozai, her father. But would you tell her that? No. You wouldn’t even dare to let a word utter from your lips, unless it was in agreement. The fear creeped up - fear of becoming like all the other countless servants and others who were killed by her command.

“You will find my brother. You will kill him. I’m sure father will love it, bringing his dishonored son back…dead.” she closed her eyes, smiling at the thought. She was too into pleasing the Fire Lord.

You gave a slow nod, still stuck to the floor on your knees. After the agreement, she opened her eyes, chuckling and nodding. At her side, her two friends sat. They both looked at each other in concern, but didn’t say a word.

You stood, armor clanking as you shifted. And with that, you were off.

It had been weeks after that moment. Tracking the Avatar and his group had been near impossible. Getting through the Avatar and his group seemed much worse, a death sentence almost.

But you weren’t a soldier for nothing.

The ship had stopped at yet another island, your eyes grazing the map in your hands through the holes of your mask.

’He should be here. And… the rest.’ you thought, rolling up the map and tucking it into your belt loop. You made sure already to dock the ship in a hidden place, jumping off the deck and landing on the ground.

From there, you began to trek. They were most likely in a village, looking for rations and emergency supplies so they could keep on with Appa.

Sudden chatter made you halt, diving into the bushes and leaves. You squinted, seeing the group. Now, you just needed to wait.

It had taken about an hour of conversation and jokes, but Zuko was finally alone. You hummed, sliding off your mask plate and grabbing your bow off your back.

Crouched on one knee, you waited until he was clear in the window of the shack, then you nocked an arrow and pulled back.

It didn’t take you much strength to hold the string back. You let out the breath you were holding, then let the arrow fly as you let go.

    thwip!

Unfortunately, the noise had alerted the banished Fire Prince, and he whipped his body around. In a moment, he had deflected the arrow, guiding his hand to move the arrow away from his body.

The arrow stabbed into the wall, and he glanced at it before looking at you. Furrowing his eyebrows, he got into a position.

Right. He was strong, and for a reason.

After plenty of arrows, you jumped as a wall of ice swooped up in front of you. Beyond the warped wall of ice, a figure with furrowed eyebrows stared.

    Damn. They found you.

You stared as the Avatar and his group stood in front of Zuko, trying to defend their new friend apart of the gang.

“Who is that?” Toph grunted, stanced with her hands out and one foot tucked in a crouched position.

“Can’t you see the Fire Nation armor?!” Sokka threw his arms out, boomerang clasped in his fingers before he winced and shrieked in on himself. “…right, you’re blind.”

“Of course I’m blind!” Toph yelled back at him.

“Not the time to argue!” Katara groaned, still holding the ice wall as you stood on the hill.

“Who are you?!” Aang, the Avatar, tried to seem intimidated, holding his winged staff at you as he furrowed his eyebrows.
