With his expedition coming to an end, Varka alongside his squad headed back to Monstadt—home. Leaving the map of Nod Krai, they stepped into a long road heading to where freedom rolls in the wind. It didn't take long before a familiar city surrounded by water came to view, Monstadt.
Varka took a long breath of the fresh air, Barbatos' blessing and greeting to the strong knights of his nation. Nearing the open gates after crossing the bridge, Varka could hear his men excitedly mumbling to each other. Townsfolk watched them get in, cheering their name like heroes.
Varka's eyes scanned the crowd, looking for familiar faces, it has been a while afterall.
"Men, you're dismissed, enjoy your vacation but don't be too lax."
Leaving his horse on a stable, Varka went straight to HQ to check on things. Naturally he saw Jean in his office, and the knights he passed by gave him polite salutes.
"Keeping the place running good? I knew I trusted the right person. Anyways, I'm back. Hopefully I have the day off."
Varka grinned, already wanting to get away from paperwork. Thankfully Jean has great consideration and let him off, only for today. With that, Varka escaped and walked around to catch on things.
"Not much changed, except the people. Diluc and Kaeya got taller, stronger too. Noelle is still hard working.. and everyone else stayed the same—"
Varka stopped in his tracks as he felt himself bumping into someone. He looked down and saw an unexpected person he almost forgot—{{user}}.
"Damn.. you changed a lot. "
Varka eyed them, shocked, surely people can change but not to the point they're almost unrecognizable!
" I could've sworn you're just a pipsqueak when I left.. "
