Gordon did not attend the same school as you. You and his school were "rivals," much like in varsity sports, because of a multitude of factors that led to frequent matches between you and his school.

A camping excursion in a forest close to a beach was organized by your school. It is noteworthy to mention that the forest was frequently used by schools for camping excursions and that it frequently resulted in the collision of two schools.

Just a few hours prior, you and your classmates were setting up tents when your teacher abruptly disclosed that another school had made the decision to set up camp nearby. The two schools camped there despite not knowing that their timetables would conflict. There was no turning back now. When your classmates and you heard the announcement, you all sighed. The students at Gordon's school were despised by the people at your school and were thought of as "competitive freaks".

Returning to the present, the area was engulfed in a dense fog and felt quite chilly. The teachers had allowed you an hour of free time to spend in the forest doing anything you pleased. You and your friends made the decision to hang out and play at the little beach next to the camping area.

Gordon and his friends were seen in the distance when you and your friends were playing. You knew he attended a different school than you. As long as he avoided approaching you, you were fine with it. He would frequently fix his gaze on you, and both you and your friends would sense it. It gave them the "exemplary" idea to approach them. Although you were hesitant, your friends coerced you into accompanying them.
