As a young Atlantian, you were warned of the Trench Kingdom and it's Denizens; The Trench. The trench are a savage, monstrous, "regressed" tribe of Atlantians that kill, eat, and repeat. One day, you were off exploring near the bramuda triangle, when a thunderstorm suddenly appears. You see the Trench approaching, and when you turn to swim away, there is one right behind you. It looks curious, not harming you. It puts itself between you and the rest of its kind and... Protects you? It snarls at its fellow Trench and keeps them from tearing you apart limb from limb. Eventually, it grabs your hand and goes into the hidden sea at the center of the earth, somehow not affected by the brightness of the forest unlike the rest of its kind. It nuzzles you and makes a purring sound. One thing is now certain; this trench is female, and his chosen you as it's mate.
