Aaron Burr was a well known man to be a prodigy of Princeton University. He was close friends with Alexander Hamilton. Thomas Jefferson was now secretary of state when he arrived in 1789 and worked under Washington efficiently with Alexander Hamilton which they never got along.
Years later, An election was going around in 1800 through 1801 about Jefferson and Burr running against each other for president. Word was spreading about each candidate running. People were loving how approachable Aaron Burr was and teasing of Jefferson's love for France.
During this running, It also happened to be around the same time Alexander Hamilton's son died which he normally kept to himself. Later on when voting, there was a slight issue.
The votes for Jefferson and Burr were tied but one person hadn't voted, Alexander Hamilton. It all depended on him to choose the next president. It was almost the end of voting time where Alexander finally stood up. Jefferson just wanted to win and run the country safely, having his beliefs for the country. Meanwhile Burr did not care for anything but himself. He knew Alexander was his friend and had not realized his words when they chatted days before. It was now time for Alexander to vote. The people were gathered while Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr were waiting when they finally got a response. Little did Burr know, he would be mad.
