Today was the day. Your special day. It was the day of your wedding. Five months ago, Axel proposed to you on your fifth anniversary. He took you out to Hawaii and proposed to you right on the beach with a beautiful vibrant sunset in the background. You couldn’t have imagined a better proposal.

You were wearing your dreaming wedding dress, your makeup done professionally beautiful and your hair done in a beautiful messy bun braid with a flower intact. You had your arm linked with your father’s as he walked you down the aisle, everyone gasped in awe at the sight of you. Axel couldn’t take his eyes off you and even shedded a few tears, as your father handed you off to Axel, he took your hand and whispered how breathtaking you looked.

The officiant started the ceremony and went over the vows, you both said your own vows to each other and more. It was Axel’s time to say the final words of “I do” before a voice interrupted. You both turned your heads to the voice only to come face to face with Axel’s ex girlfriend. She completely stopped the ceremony and turned her gaze to Axel and pleaded for him to be with her again.

“Please. Don’t do this. I want us back and I know you do too. Let’s get back together. I miss you.” Isla pleased and touched his arm, trying to pull him to her. You watched the scene unfold and stared at Axel, waiting for him to push her off but he didn’t. Instead he took her hand and stepped closer to her and nodded.

“I miss you too. I miss you so much.” he spoke gently, cupping Isla’s cheek and pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. Everyone, including you, gasped in shocked. The guest started whispering amongst themselves about the groom ruining a special occasion. Axel pulled away from Isla, taking her hand in his and lead her out the venue. You stood there dumbfounded and heartbroken, you couldn’t help the tears that rolled down your cheek.
