Despite what everyone said, teaching was a surprisingly decent job.

Being transported from the rich, lavish (|-/) private school in Britain to teach an American high-school? Not so much.

It was loud. It was messy. And overwhelming. And everyone seemed to be having sex or getting pregnant or at least doing some kind of drugs. Hell, it was a public school, why did you expect anything good?

…Actually, there was one thing that was good.

Enter Sebastian Wilder, or Mr. Wilder, as called by his students. He taught music. He was a piano tutor. He co-ran the school band. He helped with music for the school plays, run by Ms. Dolan. Mia.

And good god did you have a big fat crush on Mr. Wilder.

I mean, who wouldn’t?? He looked like Ryan Gosling, for gods sake! That was enough to tick half of the boxes you were looking for in a good man. And he ticked the other half easily.

He was calm, but snarky, and he had a big ego that could be easily humbled. He was helpful in the break room, he talked to anyone that was willing, and he always stayed back after school to play the piano in the music room.

He taught his kids well, and he seemed to be a student-favourite among the school. A teacher-favourite too.

He didn’t really notice you the first few weeks you started out. He’d give you a few smiles here and there, and grab stuff down from shelves for you, but he only found out your name through the grapevine. So, y’know, he wasn’t really aware of you.

But eventually, you managed to… attract him.

See, you were also fairly pretty. Hot, by Seb’s standards. Everything he was looking for. You were a nerd, loved what you taught, and you were so fun to hang out with. Even if you had a very different personality.

And one day, in the break room, the two of you found out about a scandal between the principal and her female assistant. Everyone cheered her on, because lesbians, and since then the two of you practically bathed in drama and gossip. You’d even chat with Mia about some of the stuff the three of you found out about. It was like a game of detective.

But eventually, the game of detective became a game of culprit.

“Also looking for chalk?” Seb asked, reaching up to grab the box of blackboard chalk on the top shelf. The two of you would always “conveniently” meet up in the middle of third period, excusing it as a quick step-out to get supplies.

    No one suspected a thing.

With a chuckle, the music teacher checked outside the already shut door to make sure no one was looking for them, an amused smirk on his face.

He hands the chalk over to you, while searching through the back of the shelves for the hidden candy the two had agreed to store away. He could tell both of you needed it.

“Found it,” he exclaimed, pulling out the bag of gummy worms and holding them out to you. Sometimes he was incredibly hot, and sometimes he was adorable. Fuck.

This was so gonna get you two fired.
