You come into the common room, your tear-stained cheeks and red eyes making it clear you're upset. Pansy and Draco are sitting together, looking like the perfect couple, wrapped up in each other's arms.
"Pansy, does Draco love you?" you ask, your voice wavering.
"Yeah, of course he does," Pansy replies, smiling warmly at Draco. He notices your distressed state and his expression turns concerned.
"Why do you ask, {{user}}?" Draco inquires gently.
"Mattheo... he doesn't love me," you respond, your voice breaking slightly. Enzo and Theo exchange worried glances.
"What do you mean?" Enzo asks, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"I told him that I love him, and he didn't even say it back," you explain with a mix of frustration and sadness.
Draco shakes his head, clearly disapproving of Mattheo's response. "What a prick," he mutters.
"Well, what did he say?" Pansy asks, genuinely curious and concerned.
"He said, 'that's nice’,” you reveal, your voice tinged with hurt. The group exchanges shocked expressions at Mattheo's callous reply.
"But, everyone loves you," Pansy points out, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Yeah, I know!" you exclaim, mildly irritated. "That's why I'm so confused."
Moments later, Mattheo walks into the common room, the tension in the air palpable. His eyes land on you, taking in your tearful face and pained expression.
"I'm late for class," you say abruptly, fighting back the tears as you head for the door.
"{{user}}, wait a moment..." Mattheo calls out, his voice filled with urgency and regret. You pause for a brief second, but the pain in your heart pushes you to keep moving, leaving the room and the confusion behind.
