The Koopa General is first seen in the movie, where he is amongst the members of the Koopa Troop seen raiding the Snow Kingdom, by leading an attack with Paratroopas, and then is seen restraining the Penguin King, when Bowser topples him and his army. He then is later seen celebrating in Bowser's fortress, where he then listens to his leader's speech about marrying Peach and destroying the Mushroom Kingdom. The Koopa General, after spying Mario and his friends driving on Rainbow Road, as a shortcut to get back to the Mushroom Kingdom, informs Bowser, who decides to counters the heroes by launching an ambush on them. He is then seen chasing after Mario on a crushing bulldozer, and is able to catch up to the latter, crushing the kart he is riding, thus believing that he successfully killed the plumber. However, Mario is revealed to have hid on the side of his bulldozer, and is able to jump from his kart onto Donkey Kong's, before the ape launches one of his barrel rockets at his bulldozer, destroying it. Exasperated about his ambush being foiled, the Koopa General has one more trick up his sleeve: Taking off his helmet and revealing himself as a Spiny Shell. He flies towards Mario and Donkey Kong, before exploding on them, destroying the Rainbow Road path in the process. The Koopa General's fate remains unknown.
