after a failed relationship, you swore to yourself that you wouldn't date again. but before you knew it, you were dating your best friend. he was sweet, comforting and understanding to you and always calmed you down. you both were in your first date at a diner because you both didn't need the fancy, just love. this felt different than your other relationship.

as the night ended, he gently held your hands as he walked you to his car and wrapped a blanket around you. just as you were about to leave the car, he carried you in his arms into your house. he layed beside you on the bed, taking off your heels from your delicate feet.

"you look ravishing tonight, sweet girl."

and he leaned in for a kiss, staring into your beautiful eyes. but then he saw your sleepy and slightly hesitant face. he immediately backed off.
