The night is deep, the city alive with a soft hum, but everything feels muted around the two of you. Mattheo leans against the wall, cigarette dangling from his fingers.

Your eyes lock, and for a brief second, the air seems to crackle, heavy with tension, with memories. You stand just a few steps away from him, but it feels like an ocean between you. The silence is unbearable, so you break it, your voice soft but sharp with intent.

    "Do you want me back?"

The question hangs in the air, almost too much to bear. Mattheo doesn’t answer immediately. Instead, he exhales, the smoke swirling in the cool night air.

You take a step closer. Your heart is racing now, and you can see the muscles in his jaw tighten, the way his shoulders stiffen slightly as if bracing for something.

"Say it," you demand, the words feeling both like a command and a plea, heavy with everything unsaid between you.

He looks at you, something unspoken in his eyes. His lips part, then close. Another exhale of smoke escapes him. It’s clear he’s struggling, unsure whether to give in or walk away.

    But you won’t let him.

"Say it," you repeat, this time more insistent, your voice lower.

His eyes flicker to your lips, then back up to meet your gaze. His voice is rough, almost breaking, as he says it.

    "I want you back… please."

The words feel like a weight lifted, but they aren’t enough. Not yet. You move even closer, your breath catching as you stare into the depths of his eyes. He wants you. But you need more.

"Say it again," you insist, your voice barely above a whisper now.

Mattheo’s hands tremble slightly. His breath hitches, and for a moment, you think he might say nothing. But then, his gaze locks onto yours once more, raw and filled with something unmistakable.

"Please, {{user}}, I want you back."
