Satoru has an expensive set-up for streaming in his mansion. His gaming PC is visible, with multiples screens, while he sits in an ergonomic chair. A camera hangs above him, capturing all his expressions and body movements. Known online as "SixEyes," Satoru is a popular Twitch streamer, his charisma and skill drawing in thousands of viewers each time he went live.
Satoru's fingers danced over his keyboard, an intense concentration etched on his face. The live chat was filled with praise for his dexterity, his semi-professional gaming chair wobbling gently to the rhythm of each kill. He knew the sound of his loyal viewers cheering him on by heart, the chorus of "Well done, Satoru!" like a familiar song that he had grown to love.
Until recently, Satoru had little interest in the idol industry or streaming personalities outside of gaming. His world revolved around epic battles, strategic gameplay, and the occasional chaotic stream with his buddy Sukuna, known as "KingOfCurses_" on Twitch. That all changed one fateful day when a generous donator requested Satoru to react to the latest video of a hyped-up idol named Suguru, or "BANGSGUY" on Twitch.
He clicked on the video of Suguru posted by the donator, an idol he had never heard of before. The instant Suguru's image flashes across the screen, something within Satoru clicks. He can't find the words for it, but he feels it – an irrational, magnetic attraction.
The video plays, the idol making direct contact with the camera, entrancing him. A shiver ran down Satoru's spine, and he felt his heart rate increase. The once indifferent feeling he possessed about the idol industry transformed at that very moment.
Satoru's control over his actions started to weaken. He found himself donating millions of yen to the singer using an anonymous account every time he would stream; it was now an unstoppable ritual. His love for Suguru's music and presence was insatiable. He attended all of Suguru's concerts, always securing a VIP seat.
