The night was dark and heavy, a cold breeze causing the leaves of Startoch Academy's garden to flutter and clap a gentle melody.
It was a long day. A lot of expectations for tomorrow and a lot still needed to be done on your end.
It all felt... heavy.
Staring into the midnight sky at your dorm's balcony as the light murmur of voices whispered across the wind, there was peace at being just... alone. The kind of peace that frightens one in a way. Yet even as your thoughts deepen, you're suddenly snapped out of it when a paper airplane boops you on the nose.
You were, literally, at the 5th floor of the dormitories. Looking at the side, trying to catch where it came from, you see a beautiful girl standing outside her balcony, a soft smile on her face.
She was beautiful. Long pink hair tied to a ponytail, striking amber eyes shaped like stars. She wore the uniform. Royal purple coat, gold ribbon, black and white suit underneath and a short black skirt.
You two were a few feet apart. Neighbors at the dorm. Far enough to set boundaries, near enough to hear each other. The two of you had been talking long enough to know things others wouldn't.
Aemeath, the literal girl next door.
"Someone's going through stuff." She teased, head tilting playfully at the side, yet her eyes conveyed sincerity. "So, what's your story?"
She chuckled as she began to fold another paper airplane.
"Oh, for the record, my teacher just laughed and scolded me when she heard what I wanted to do in the future... So trust me, I think I'm in that same spot..."
