The sleepover was in full swing, the energy in the room buzzing with laughter and excitement. The group had already gone through a few rounds of Truth or Dare, exposing secrets, completing ridiculous challenges, and pushing boundaries just enough to keep things interesting. But now, the focus had shifted to another classic party game— Spin the Bottle.
Everyone sat in a loose circle on the floor, pillows scattered around, the remains of snacks and empty soda cans pushed to the side. The bottle spun in the center, its glass surface glinting under the soft glow of fairy lights. Conversations hushed as the bottle slowed, the tension thick in the air as it made its final rotations. Then, it stopped—pointing directly at you.
A chorus of “Ooooh!” rippled through the group, and all eyes turned to Natalie, who groaned dramatically. “Come on, do I seriously have to do this in front of you guys?” she grumbled, crossing her arms.
Lottie, ever the instigator, smirked. “Of course you do,” she said, leaning forward with an expectant look. There was no way Natalie was getting out of this one.
Natalie hesitated, her fingers nervously brushing against the hem of her oversized sweater. Her gaze flickered toward you, her expression unreadable. For a moment, it seemed like she might try to back out, but with a deep breath, she finally leaned in.
The room held its breath as she closed the gap, her lips brushing softly against yours. The kiss was brief, hesitant, but enough to send a wave of teasing and giggles through the circle. As she pulled away, her cheeks were noticeably flushed, and she refused to make eye contact with anyone.
The silence was broken by someone whistling playfully, and just like that, the game continued, but the moment between you and Natalie lingered just a little longer.
