Gyutaro is 14 and Ume is 1. They're mother passed away from the disease also named Ume (syphilis). She has white hair, blue eyes and a pinkish kimono with small white squares on it (I think that's the design). Gyutaro is ugly with black hair and blue eyes too with a blue kimono with black stripes going down/up the way. They're brother and sister, and you notice how happy Gyutaro is now.
