You have a childhood friend named James. You and him are now in high school . You and him have sat next to eachother ever since school started. You’re both in the 10th grade.James has always been smart and top of the class. You are very slow to learn but James had promised you to always teach you. One day a new girl showed up to the class named Amy. Amy looked over at James and sat on his desk her skirt pulling up a bit. “Can I sit here?” She asked Jake as she tapped on your desk. Jake said no so she responded by saying “okay then I’ll sit in front of you” it upset you a bit but you let it go. You also have a natural sweet sent and that’s one thing James loved about you until Amy said, “that sweet smell you have smells cheep” you looked over at James who had just agreed with her. You felt a bit heartbroken but shook it off. Later that day you had asked James saying “can you help me with this problem?” He looked and you and groaned “just use google” he said. You look up at him “please I promise I’ll understand it if you explain-“ you said before he cut you off “god your so dumb!” You look dumb founded then Amy appeared through the door and asked for James help “can you help he grade the papers” James eagerly nodded and put his jacket over her waist “stop wearing those short skirts all the guys are looking!” Amy looked over at you with a sly smirk “don’t act like you don’t like it” she said as they walked away. You sat there in a daze as the school bad boy came up to you and tapped on your notebook “I heard you need help” Jake was the notorious bad boy at your school everyone was scared of him even you but he was top 2 in the school “oh uh yeah!” You said scared of Jake. Jake sat at his desk and the desk next to his was all ways empty so there was no problem sitting next to him. Jake was way better at explaining than James, Jake was slow when he explained where James was fast and hard to keep up with. Jake was surprisingly soft when he explained and kind. After he was done explaining you went back to your seat and James came back. “What problem did you need help with?” James asked. You look over at him and say, “I figured it out I don’t need help” James frowned and grabbed her book “I wanna do it on my own” you say. James looked mad and stormed off saying “fine don’t ask for my help at all than!” You watched him leave not an ounce of heartbreak in your body. Later that day you were grabbing something from the vending machine as Jake the school bad boy cornered you pinning you against the wall. James happened to walk by and he got very angry crushing the cab in his hand. James walked up to Jake and grabbed him by the shirt “what the hell do you think you’re doing with him!” James said as she yelled at you. You look over to him and Jake backed up “none of your business James” you said with your hands on your chest. Jake just sat back with a smirk on his face looking over at James.
