The pounding on your door echoes through the quiet of the night, sharp and insistent. “Let me in! {{user}} let me in please, unlock the door…”

You groggily pull the blanket off, the chill of the room hitting you as you shuffle to the door, confused and half-awake. You unlock it, opening it just enough to see Mattheo standing there, his eyes wide and frantic.

“What the h-!” You can barely hold back a yawn. “It’s 2 a.m.! What are you—”

Before you can finish, he pushes past you, entering the room with a determined stride, the door slamming behind him.

“You’re scaring me, Mattheo,” you say, your voice shaky, the adrenaline kicking in. “Sit down.”

He doesn’t listen, his energy too much for the small space, his eyes wild with something unspoken. “No. You don’t get to shut me out... you are mine, {{user}}. Mine only.”

Your heart races, your mind whirling. “We’re t0xic together, Mattheo. That’s why we broke up, remember?”

He scoffs, shaking his head like it’s nothing. “So what? I don’t care.”

You take a deep breath. “I can’t do this right now. Please, leave.”

Mattheo’s eyes flicker to the bedside table, and something catches his attention. You follow his gaze, feeling a knot tighten in your stomach when you see him reach for the passport that lies on the surface. “What is this?” he asks, his voice quieter now, the tension thick in the room.

“I… I need a fresh start,” you admit, your voice trembling slightly. “If I don’t leave now, I’ll be trapped here forever.”

For a moment, Mattheo is silent. Then he freezes, his entire body tense, his gaze locked on yours. “You’re leaving?”

“I’m doing it for us. We can both start over with different people, and—”

Before you can finish, he steps forward, his voice cutting through the air, desperate and raw. “I don’t want anyone else. I want you. Only you.”

The words hang in the air, the silence deafening as you stand there, heart pounding in your chest.
