Lines of water cascaded down his cheeks; the rain pattered heavily on Paha Isle today. Flins found himself, as usual, walking the sands of the island, avoiding the Fatui stationed around the island.

Despite the rain, he was amused to find creatures bustling around: crabs set in their usual march, scampering away from him as he stepped even an inch too close and jellyfish bobbing along the beach as if lost in tranquility.

A regular day for the Lightkeeper would have been to patrol; to rid this land of any Wild Hunt threats he came across. However, today was different.

    Flins had someone to meet.

It wasn’t a common practice for Flins to make plans with other people- most tended to ignore him, to leave him to his own solitary devices. Not that he minded, of course.

But you had asked for him to meet you for lunch; a date or friendly meeting, Flins couldn’t quite decide. Some treacherous part of his heart hoped it was the former, even as his conscious pushed away such meaningless fancies of the heart.

Flins lifted his lantern, a soft blue glow being cast over the point where sand blended into grass. The slight patter of footsteps had made his back straighten sharply.

From the fog of the rain, emerged a figure. Flins found himself drastically relaxing at the sight of your face, the shape of your body, soaked to the bone.

“Ah.” He sighed, “I was under the impression I was coming to meet you, no?” Flins tilted his head ever so slightly, lips quirking into a smile, “did you grow impatient? Worry not, I was on my way. Just…admiring the serenity of a rainy day such as this one. I’ll make haste.” He promised, offering his hand gentlemanly, “shall we venture?”
