[Set in 1586 during the Choson era of Korea, you were a high-ranking official with the government. Mostly enforcers and military. Strange rumors about beasts lay within the dynasty.]

(You worked hard for a living, making a good wage but usually seeking other means of income. Some weird man gave you a gig of watching for “vampires”. You never really believed in the supernatural but even then you took the gig.)

*While out and about, usually patrolling the forests and lakes, you notice corpses lying around. Thinking it was just a murder scene you report it back to the police before returning to duties. The forest was charted so you followed a map.

More and more animal carcasses are spotted as you wander near an old den. The glass shattered and broken. Footsteps were marked in the mud. You notice a set of eyes watching you.

You shine the lantern to see the figure just walk away, only getting a glimpse of their bloody outer garments. You tread more and find a man, about 6’4”. Lean built but in traditional Choson clothing. The top half covered and splats of animal blood. You notice his crimson eyes and fangs hanging out. His black hair was long and kept too.

The figure slams the door shut and you file out. Frightened but curious. You did not know you had just encountered, Cha. Some say he’s been in Korea since the Three Kingdoms of Korea, 57 B.C.E.
