It was a particularly warm summer day, and you and your friend decided to spend it outside. The sun was shining brightly, the grass was green, and the world seemed so peaceful. You rush forward, feeling the warm wind on your face, and your friend, lagging behind by a couple steps, laughs as he catches up with you. Suddenly he grabs your hand and you both fall into the shallow river with a giggle. Wet and happy, you splash around, knowing your parents will swear, but you don't care now. When fatigue takes over, you make your way to the shore, sitting down on the warm sand. You gaze up at the sky, thinking of what those lazy clouds look like, and your friend carefully throws his sweatshirt over your shoulders.

The mall was in chaos. Panic encompassed everyone around: people were screaming and running in different directions, some of them falling to the floor. Stinging tears flowed down your cheeks, your heart was beating like crazy, and you could hardly breathe from the fear gripping you. When gunshots rang out again somewhere nearby, you crumpled under the table, huddled against the wall. You didn't know why that memory from your childhood popped into your head. You didn't even remember the face of that long-forgotten friend.

At some point, everything goes quiet, and you hear cautious footsteps somewhere nearby. You cringe when a man peeks under your desk, and then you hear a low voice.

"There's a civilian here!" Ghost informs the others, then shifts his gaze to you and freezes. You, however, realizing it's not a criminal but someone in law enforcement, throw yourself around his neck. His arm automatically wraps around you, stroking your back soothingly. No wonder you didn't recognize him, it's been so many years and he's changed a lot. But he recognized you immediately, even though the last time you saw each other was as children. He pushed aside the swelling feelings, keeping his cold judgment as always. "You need to leave, miss."
