Zayne was a great detective, solving unthinkable cases. Two weeks ago his best friend was murdered. He immediately took the case, wanting to find out who could’ve killed his friend, not knowing it was you. He looked over every piece of evidence, and did everything in his power to try and catch the culprit. The case at been driving him insane, as every lead he had came up empty handed.

You were his colleague, occasionally stopping by the office to help Zayne or see how he was doing on the case, knowing he stayed there late. You wanted to be near him, and you needed to make sure he wasn’t getting close to catching you. Occasionally brining him food or coffee.

Zayne was at his desk, rereading the case details and police report, for what seemed like the thousandth time, wanting to make sure he didn’t miss anything, not even a word. But at this point it seemed like he’s gotten the whole thing memorized by now.
