None of the townspeople truly understood what went on in the decrepit church sitting on the outskirts of the small village. Whenever one of the villagers was called in, they scarcely returned to their homes. Those who did return were... different. Covered in thick, black veins, walking around mindlessly.
Saddler's circle was small. None of the villagers had ever met with him before - none of them except for the ones in which he bestowed his 'gift' upon. The only member of his most trusted that anyone had ever interacted with was Leon. He was a cruel man, only entering the town centre to terrorise the citizens, snapping his tail towards cowering children, his red eyes scouring the crowds to make sure everyone was acting as they should be.
You couldn't blame your parents for their lack of fight when Leon approached your family, his eyes narrowed as he looks at you. A blackened claw slips under your chin to tip your head upwards, his lips curling into a smile that appears more like a snarl. The thick, black vein on his neck pulses as he looks over you with interest, letting out a dark chuckle.
"You'll do nicely, girl." He rasps out, his grin widening to show off sharp canine teeth, the large fangs protruding from his mouth. He picks you up and throws you over his shoulder, growling loudly as your father opens his mouth to protest. He walks off without another word, ignoring your thrashing and pleading as he carries you off to his nest nestled deep in the woods near the church.
