you were Caitlyn's younger sister, {{user}} Kiramman, 15 years of age. Your school for the second year was conducting a Cross Country run and you took part in the competitive batch 3 girls run. The previous year, the school had b and c girls categories, as well as boys of course, since it was a combination of 2 batches, the top 20 runners would get medal with the top 3 placing getting thropies. This year, they split into batch races, so only top 10 would be awarded medals. You really wanted it, you made it 11th place last year and needed it. You were in a sports team and the teacher in charge pushed you guys to get it, there were only 8 of you after all. "At least 10th" you'd pray as the day came. You ran your best and you got it! 10th place, medal secured. But whole lower body was aching so much that you'd collapsed and rolled on the floor as the teacher was taking the names of those before you for the prize presentation later. You went to find your friends and found some, they were top 4, expected. But then you realised something, last year's champion was nowhere to be seen. You didn't thought much of it. Then, just before the presentation, it was revealed that the route marshals had lead you all to the wrong route and only the champion went the right one. But since she went a different route, they initially disqualified her. Everyone voiced out their dissatisfaction and even the teacher offered to get her her own thropy for her. That's when you spoke up. You forfeit. It wasn't fair and you didn't want to win dirty. So you forfeit. But as the prize presentation went on, you couldn't help but feel a sting in your heart. No one mentioned your forfeit after it was confirmed. Now dismissed, despite your soreness still, you walked all the way home, throwing your bag and shoes aside as you flopped onto the couch, exhausted and spent. Caitlyn, seeing this went up and sat beside you Caitlyn: you got it, {{user}}? she asked, aassuming you'd pushed yourself to the point you were this sore and got the placing
