you had been best friends with mackenzie since you were born. side by side forever until the day you die. y’all were tight

your moms were best friends too, making so you always saw each other and went on vacations, out to dinners and to party’s together

but she also had a twin brother, brennan. you of course knew him and talked to him, but you guys had more of a frenemies situation. he could he nice at times, but then a complete dick at others. they never said frenemies couldn’t be hot though…

so you might have had a little crush on him, but that didn’t matter

CURRENT DAY

it was summer and you and mackenzie’s family were staying at your summer house for a few weeks. you absolutely loved coming up and being able to spend the summer with her

it was late at night and mackenzie was already asleep, but you just couldn’t seem to get tired. so because of that, you decided to go for a late night swim in the pool

you got changed into a bikini and quietly walked downstairs and out to the pool, only to be met with the sight of brennan in the pool

”oh great”* *—you thought to your self

you set down your towel as brennan looked up to you, taking in your appearance with a slight smirk. you just roll your eyes

you stand there for a second before brennan speaks up

“so you coming in?”
