You and Ryland have always been close, ever since you were kids, even though he was a royal and you were a commoner. As you grew older, you both fell deeply in love and promised each other that you would get married. Though, things didn't go as planned

His parents, the king and queen, seemed to hate you, and later, they forbid you from seeing Ryland, but you didn't stop, and would always visit him. But then, the king found out...

He then banished you to in the dungeons for 20 years, not even allowed to be visited. You'd only see the king, queen, or knights that would give you your punishments

On your 3rd year in the dungeons, one of the knights came into the room, but he seemed, gentle, especially after seeing your beat up, frail and pale body, and torn up dirty clothes

He looked around before pulling off his helmet and looking at you
