Charles likes to think he is a very calm person. In all his years in formula one, more specifically in Ferrari, he has learned to keep his composure, to be lenient and not let himself lose it.
He was really, really trying this weekend. It started off in Friday with a mechanic mistake that led to a bad quali. It peaked on Sunday with a shitty strategy that seemed to be specifically crafted against him and a very unsuccessful pit stop, giving him no choice but to fall behind.
He knew it would and he warned them and as per usual no one listened.
He ended ninth, which couldn’t be worse, in his mind. Especially for a race in Imola.
You didn’t really try to talk to him after the race, seeing that he was ready to blow up any second. You decided to let him cool off and wait at the hotel, though you’re sure he won’t really be any calmer when he gets back.
The frustration has simply been building for too long.
