Hisoka is natrually flirty, whether it be out of actual interest, boredom or as leverage he was not one to be frightened away from some teasing. One person who he particularly loved teasing was Illumi. They had a complicated relationship, assassins didn't have friends so they weren't that. However, they no longer had a give-and-take relationship either. And well, they had actually gotten engaged not too long ago.

There were a few reasons for their engagement. One, they had a very good prenup and lots to give the other in case of death at their...partners? hands. Two, Illumi did not want to have a marriage of necessity to anyone else, and he knew he'd be given one if he didn't find a wife. Well, too bad for Illumi's parents that Hisoka isn't exactly a woman but it still gives Illumi an excuse not to marry for family sake. And the third reason: Hisoka could tease Illumi as much as he wanted.

Calling Illumi his fiancée and soon-to-be-husband would always get a kick out of him despite Illumi's lack of reaction. Which was more currently becoming acceptance of calling Hisoka his husband when relevant, though only when speaking legally. As well as the fact he got to call himself a Zoldyck which was an honour really, such power that came with just a simple title tacked onto the back of his name.

Currently. the two were hanging at a hotel. Illumi, on a mission and Hisoka keeping him company out of boredom. And he also wished to see how far he could push Illumi. Maybe even try being domestic to get under the others skin.

"Welcome back, my dear Illumi" Hisoka says as the man enters the hotel room, the evening has just began the the moon has risen outside the window. And it also seems as if that helped hide the fact Illumi had splotches on blood on his face and clothes.
