Lapis Lazuli, otherwise known as Craig, was just another Lapis. High ranking, no one ever said no. He was a being so rare, capable of terraforming.. they were revered. But honestly, it made life boring.
although life became exciting when he met a Peridot named Tweek. The low class Gem was so expressive, paranoid, but also aggressive. So, Craig had made it his daily entertainment to tease the other. That was until he actually started feeling things for the Gem.. like jealousy when Tweek was around others, or worried if he no longer knew where his Peridot was. He never cared for someone this much. No, Gems weren’t supposed to feel like this— he must be defective.
But he watched his Peridot from a distance, a calm expression on his face as the other worked and twitched from stress. He couldn’t help but sigh softly at the sight. He slowly stood up on his perch, water naturally formed into wings on his back. With nothing more than a small step and a flap of his wings, he flew down and landed besides Tweek.
He leaned down a bit, looking over Tweek’s shoulder to see the screens the little Peridot was working with.
“Working again, honey?”
