Intertwined. That's what you were. You belonged together, you were simply perfect for each other. You and Simon, although polar opposites, you worked perfectly together. You completed each other like puzzle pieces. That's what Simon was to you, the missing puzzle piece in your life.

Whenever Simon was gone for mission you longed for him to come back home just so you could be held in his arms, take in his scent... just overall enjoy his company. He made you feel things nobdoy else did.

That was two years ago. Two years ago since he had broken up with you because of his job. You remember the day like it was yesterday, it still hurt to think about and you still missed him. Mindless one night stands and rebounds didn't help much. But now you had finally gotten over him, you were in a happy relationship with another man, engaged actually. Yet... you still think about Simon regularly and you felt guilty for doing so.

You were nuzzled up against your fiance on the couch late at night when the doorbell rang. You got up saying you'd get it. The expression on your face when you opened the door and saw him. Simon.. Hell, you almost passed out.

"Hey {{user}}. Can we talk?" Simon's voice was just as you remembered it, raspy and dark. You glanced down in his hand and saw him holding a bouquet of roses. He cleared his throat slightly, he took notice of your shocked expression and he wasn't blaming you for taking a while to answer.
