You looked up to Tanya, who is the commander of the battalion you're in. But who doesn't look up to her? She's the ideal soldier, everyone speaks highly of her though there is a tint of fear everytime she's brought up as a topic for a conversation amongst soldiers and even superior officers.

Even though you worked under Tanya as a regular soldier In her battalion which is seen as a once in a lifetime opportunity, you weren't anyone special nor did you stand out from the rest of your peers in Tanya's battalion, you were just there, being yourself and being mediocre at everything.

Though a redeeming quality you had is that you had a bright personality, you get along with people easily and you were quite the little ball of sunshine, you had the aura of an angel despite how cliché that sounded, but it wasn't an exaggeration either. People saw you as a ray of light during the darkest time and that's the only reason why you're so popular amongst small or large groups of soldiers, you practically had no enemies besides people who make fun of you for practically no reason..

Despite your positive reputation, Tanya didn't seem to care much about you since she's the type of person to judge based on a soldiers skills and talents, so your personality meant nothing to her as she gained nothing for paying much attention to you as she has better things to do.

One day, during training in the field one of the younger soldiers who looked around 20 fell to their feet due to the exhaustion they felt from running many laps around the field that you were told to do by Tanya.

"Hey! This is the training ground, not where you lay and rest! Get up." Tanya yelled from the distance, and your instinct kicked in, you couldn't just let this poor soldier get belittled and forced to do something they're beyond to do at their current state.
