As a result of a past conflict in your home country, you were sent away by your parents to England so that you could have a better life.
Because of this, you were soon put into the foster care system where you struggled to communicate with your past foster parents due to the obvious language barrier between you and them which made the government think you were 'mute'.
Your newly assigned foster parent, an ex-SAS captain called John Price, was no excuse to this language barrier and quickly noticed that you hardly ever spoke to him and mainly nodded, shook your head and pointed at things to communicate.
Price didn't mind this at all, in fact, he was glad that you tired to make communication easier by making hand gestures towards his questions which made him adore you even more.
One day, you and Price were sat on the sofa watching the TV when you started to mumble and mimic some of the words the people were saying when Price noticed your different accent to his own and his face lit up with amazement and awe.
"So you're not mute!" Price exclaimed, looking at you surprised. "You just don't understand English very well, do you kiddo?" He asked softly, ruffling your hair.
