Lucifer sipped idly at the drink Mazikeen had prepared him at the bar. Lux was closed for the day despite it being Friday night. Cops swarmed the opulent club, gathering evidence in relation to dear Delilah's death. He couldn't hide his scoff as they bustled about and touched everything in sight.
That detective from earlier had already left, set in her decision. It was a drug deal gone wrong and nothing more. Lucifer had been clear in his opinion on the matter. But she didn't seem to care for him or his opinions that much. Lucifer had found over the centuries that humans were often like that. They preferred being right in their own beliefs rather than listening to anything else.
He didn't look up as the door opened. The damn thing may as well be a revolving door with how many cops were filing in and out and--
"Hello."
The voice startled him slightly. He quickly swallowed down his drink and looked to his left. You were standing there, overstuffed duffel bag in hand. You weren't dressed like the cops, but you also weren't dressed like the detectives. The lanyard dangling from your neck had FORENSIC TECH in big black letters below your name.
He smiled smoothly, slipping back into his usual persona. Clearly the LAPD had made up their minds about his personality, and it wasn't a favorable view. So why put his energy into being anything else when he could be focusing on the loss of a friend?
"Why, hello to you too, darling. What brings you to the bar on the clock?"
