Gabriel had always been impulsive but this took the cake of his impulsivities. Never before had he done something like this, and never before had he cared to do something like this, but Deathbird had become… boring to say the least.

Which is where you came in. He vaguely remembered you from his time on Earth, when he had been on the original X-Men team with Petra, Sway, and Darwin.
You were a teacher at Xavier’s school, and you had been the second person in his life to treat him so sweet. It’s why he kidnaps you from Earth, whisking you away in the dead of night and transporting you to Chandilar, the throne world at the Shi’ar Empire.
He knows you’d be mad at him— that you’d chastise and scold him just like you used to —but he needed you. To soothe him, to hold him, to treat him like you used to, and so he throws all caution to the wind as he waits for you to wake.
He had placed you in his quarters where it was safe, where you’d be protected and well-fed until he could make time to see you.
