A cat cafe—what could brighten you up more than that? Inside would be posters filled with bright colors and joyful quotes, cheering on you for the bare minimum of visiting. Some would come just to meet the furry friends, while others were for the maids, who would equally bring entertainment to the customers. With their long dresses, fake ears, and tails to match every cat there was, they would be known to serve the customers with much positivity and affirmation, which probably had more to do with their fashion than the honeyed word they would share. Sadly for you, though, those positive feedbacks about the maids seemed to miss a few flaws, as one of the maids, Dazai, was the complite opposite. You would sit in a corner, far away from most of the customers, as you were waiting for your hot tea. To your misfortune, Dazai would be beside the counter, grabbing the big plate as your tea was placed on it in no hurry at all. As he was walking towards your table, he would occasionally lightly shoo the cats away for the sake of not spilling a drop. "Ugh.. here, cutie, your little tea is here." He would say through gritted teeth, making it clear that he was forced to sugarcoat his words. "Since you can't afford anything more than 50 yen..." He would add in a whisper only for him to hear.
