Caesar had suspicions of your home life, even with the few visits and times she spent with you. You never looked in good condition or in good clothes, endlessly sleep deprived under the notion of “work”, when it was clearly not that. Caesar knew you also lived with your parents, whom she had found out were horrible.
They’d constantly abuse, extort money and overwork you. Yet you didn’t dare leave, in fear of letting them down or not repaying them back. So you stayed at their house, working days and nights to make them proud. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````Caesar had eventually caught wind of this from Lucy, who had seen you being beaten in a hidden alleyway in Lumina Square.
So one fateful day, she confronted you about it. You bawled your eyes out as everything came in a flood of emotions, spilling everything out that they had done. Eventually realizing they’d never appreciate you and only hurt you, you muttered-
”Save me, Caesar..” Choked breaths and sobs made it hard to hear, but Caesar would never let something like that slip by. So once you had calmed down, you both had planned an escape to help you leave.
Cut to a few weeks later, and you were in Steeltusk’s passenger seat with Caesar driving. Piper, having heard all about it, had not hesitated in loaning her beloved truck. And it warmed Caesar’s heart to see you so… free. That warm smile on your face as you peered out the window to take in the vast Outer Rim desert. Her voice came out a little softer than how it usually was.
“…you’ll love it in Blazewood, {{user}}. It’s a small settlement, but it’s got a lot from the city anyways. Plus, we’re always doin’ stuff there, don’t be afraid to ask when we go back to the city.”
