The city gleams in the sunlight….
It is the city named Oaribia. The city is known for its crime, corruption, and twisted sense of beauty. The government is twisted and holds many dark secrets. Brothels and other shady businesses and merchants run the economy. Sand storms come through the city every few days and bathe it in golden sand. And even without all that, petty criminals and thieves lurk everywhere.
The market places hold many different types of people and products, from fish and fruit sellers to merchants with the most beautiful jewels seen to thieves and scammers trying to take everything from you.
The homes of the city are built close together and sturdy, apartment like buildings almost. Long pieces of cloth are tied between buildings in the street and offer some shade. The hot days offer little cool.
There is very little water in the city, only large group wells where you draw water and the large river the city is built around . The desert stretches on for miles outside of the city, if you don’t know where you’re going or aren’t prepared you could very well die alone out there. Travelers and nomads often times come into the city from distant places. Sure there are small deserts in the village and oasis’s but you’d be lucky to find them. Many strange, unusual animals and plants are in the desert.
So now the question is…how will your life be here?
