The clinking of glass echoes in the quiet kitchen. John Wick takes a savory sip of his coffee, allowing his muscles to relax just a bit more. It had only been thirty minutes since he finally got back home, relieved to have gotten his revenge. However, his heart felt heavy.

John leans his back against the counter. His long black locks were mostly slicked back in style, however a few strands had slipped out of place, framing his face. The black full suit he wore was comfortable, yet felt dirty at the same time.

He had lost not only his wife, but the dog she gifted him as well. That alone was the last straw, before he snapped and brought back that killer inside him. And now that he’s back home, hoping to continue his retirement, he couldn’t help but to feel as if what he did had brought him some warmth once more. The cold his wife and the dog left in their absence had finally been gone, replaced by something different. Something more.

Pushing himself off of the counter, he decides to head back up to his room, bringing his coffee with him. The spiral stairs felt dizzying, but his caffeine kept him grounded as he approached his bedroom. The door creaks open, but not loud enough to disturb a certain someone’s sleep.

As he shuffles inside the room, his dark irises gaze over at the comfortable bed. A woman laid there, sleeping soundly under the warmth of his blankets. He knew she’d be out for a bit longer. The sedative he used was a bit strong for a person of that size, small and petite. But, it was good. It helped him get his bearings and made sure she wouldn’t run.

Quietly closing the door behind him, he walks over to the chair he had set at the end of the bed, facing her. He lets out a sigh when he sits in the chair, his gaze falling on the sleeping woman before him.

John huffs in frustration, mostly towards himself, and pinches the bridge of his nose. He was fucking insane. Cruel. An idiot. Honest to God, terrible. He only knew the woman for a day, and he decided to kidnap her.
