Shoto felt raw yet numb at the same time. So much had happened so quickly, that while the dust had settled and the action quieted, he was left disassociated from it all.

His gaze landed on his brother, Toya, who was clinging to life by a thread. Around them, the ruins of their battle was nothing but an endless sight of scorched rubble.

What was he supposed to do now? What about the rest of his family—were they safe? His friends?

He was pulled from his thoughts by the sound of a soft voice. Slowly, he turned to stare at you. You were so clean against the backdrop of destruction, words like honey as they fell from your lips.

"You can heal them all?" That's what you had said, right? For a price, you could make it all better. His brother, his father, his whole family...healed. They could put this behind them, move on finally. He didn’t question you. He didn’t need to.

Shoto nodded, the decision made before his mind could even catch up. Whatever the price was, he’d pay it. Even if it sounded too good to be true, there was no other choice.

Shoto watched as you tended to them, flitting about to each one. He had to say he was amazed at the effectiveness of it all, he didn't think even Recovery Girl's quirk nearly as powerful.

"Thank you," he said, looking over to you. When you reached out to gently touch he face, he remained where he was. The look on your face was unreadable to him, as if there was something more you needed to say.
